Denny Snelson's Pumping Unit Service, LP (DSPUS) was formed
in June of 1986 as a sole proprietorship. I, James D. Snelson
(Denny) had previously been co-owner of Snelson’s Pumping Unit
Service, Inc., a family business which was liquidated in 1986. My
family had initially been associated with Ruthco, Inc., the original
pumping unit service company in the Permian Basin founded in
1950.
Bringing more than 35 years of knowledge in the pumping unit
business, DSPUS is one the most experienced pumping unit
service companies in the Permian Basin. In 2005, we began
transitioning from tandem winch trucks to boom cranes to perform
all out pumping unit services. Our experience has proven cranes
to be safer to use and more cost effective for both DSPUS and our
customers. DSPUS employees have extensive experience and
service training as well as a comprehensive safety training
program.
DSPUS is a full service pumping unit company. We provide
moving, installation and repair for every type of unit. With all our
years in the “oil patch”, there are very few situations concerning
pumping units of any type we have not encountered. DSPUS has
an extensive bearing supply stock, on site, for needed exchange
when repairing name brand units. We also have a complete
gearbox repair facility with the purpose of furnishing new
replacement gears as needed. DSPUS also manufactures
portable concrete bases.
